Welcome to the website of the Creative Group - a special interest group of the Royal Photographic Society.

There are now almost 1000 images for you to view on this website.

This group of pictures is taken from the 2008 Print and Projected Image Exhibitions
and will change randomly each time the page is opened or refreshed (key F5).

Our aim is to encourage the development of photography as a means of expression and as a vehicle for the author to make a personal photographic statement.

You can read more about what we understand by Creative Photography, how our Group is structured and what we provide for our members by selecting 'About Us' in either of the two panels - above or to the left.

Two exhibitions are held each year, selected from images submitted by Members: the Print Exhibition and the Projected Image Exhibition. Both slides and digital images are accepted into the latter.
Group Members submit up to 4 prints or projected images and the exhibitions are judged by a panel of 5 judges selected from Members present on the day. The selection procedure ensures that each entrant has at least one image accepted; the remaining entries are then re-judged and the highest marked ones are also accepted.

Copies of the accepted exhibition entries are made available on CD to all entrants and can also be purchased for £7 each, UK post free, by sending your cheque or other money transfer to the Chairman, but contact him first here:

A.G.M. and Print Day

Our Annual General Meeting took place on Sunday 14th March, 2010 at Smethwick and was followed by the selection of our 2010 Print Exhibition. 104 prints were selected.

Feedback

Members are requested to return our Members' Feedback form, a copy of which can be downloaded from the Membership page.

New Galleries

Many new galleries have been added recently by Anne Quarry, Bob Faris, Chris Harland, Brian Doble and Roger Race as well as Distinction Panels by David and Joan Jordan, Philip Quarry and Barry Freeman, plus Eastern and Herts Area Groups images.

New contact addresses have been set up to link through this new website. To contact Committee members or Area Group representatives, please use the new email links on the respective pages.

Distinctions

If any Creative Group Member has gained a distinction in the past year, we should like to hear from you and to display your distinction panel in our Member Galleries.

Please select the “Galleries” link above or left, and choose “Submit your images” from the left side panel there.

If any Member has his or her own website of images, please email our webmaster with the address so that we can invite other members to view your work (see address on the Home page).
